Your care, not my own

Lord Jesus, I believe you know exactly what’s best for me. You love me more than I love myself, and you’re all-wise in caring for me and all-powerful in protecting me. Like Peter, I don’t know what will happen to me, but I accept that, and I thank you with all my heart for taking me out of my own keeping and telling me to put myself in your hands. I can ask nothing better than to be your care, not my own. By your grace, I’ll follow you wherever you go, and not lead the way. I’ll wait for your guidance and act on it simply, without fear. And I won’t be impatient if you keep me in the dark for a while, or fret if trouble comes. Amen.
“Father, if You are willing, take this cup from Me. Yet not My will, but Yours be done.”
