Morning prayer · 10 August
The sun that never sets

Lord, you are the true Sun of the world, always rising and never setting. By your healthy light and presence, you feed everything and fill it with joy, in heaven and on earth. Please, in your mercy and kindness, shine into our hearts. Drive away the night and darkness of sin and the fog of error all around us. Shine brightly inside our hearts, so that all our lives we may go on without stumbling, and walk as in the daytime, clean from the works of darkness and full of all the good works you’ve prepared for us to do. Amen.
Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD rises upon you.
