Hidden corners

Almighty God, our minds have so many hidden corners that nothing is harder than clearing them completely of pretending and lies. Please help us look honestly at ourselves. Shine on us with the light of your Holy Spirit. Help us truly own our hidden faults and put them far away from us, so that you alone are our God, and our real love for you wins your approval. May we bring you pure and spotless worship, and meanwhile live in the world with a clear conscience. As each of us does our own work, may we look out for others’ good as well as our own. Bring us at last to share the true glory you’ve prepared for us in heaven, through Christ our Lord. Amen.
