Living in us

A small, humble clay house with a tiny window glowing warmly from within, light spilling out of every crack to show something precious living inside the plain walls.

Spirit of God, we love you today, especially for living in us. How can you live in such a poor, rough home? How can you make these bodies your temples? And yet you do, and for that, let your name be held in awe as long as we live. Lord, we want to delight in you today. Give us faith and love and hope, so with these three gifts we can come very close to you, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. You’ll keep us, protect us, feed us and lead us. You’ll bring us to God, and there you’ll show us your love. In glory without end, you’ll let us know and taste and feel joys too great for words. Amen.

Do you not know that you yourselves are God’s temple, and that God’s Spirit dwells in you?
