Something to thank you for

A small scale with two simple dishes balanced perfectly, one dish holding a single ripe apple (what's been given) and the other holding an empty cup waiting to be filled (what's still asked for), both sides level and steady.

Keep me, my kind God, in just the right balance of strength, so that I always have something you’ve given me to thank you for, and always something more to pray for and ask from your hand. Amen.

Give thanks in every circumstance, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

1 Thessalonians 5:18 (BSB)
