Morning prayer · 22 May

Kindness twice over

Two identical small plants on a windowsill, one being watered by an unseen hand from above so generously that it doubles over and spills into its neighbour's pot, showing kindness given back twice over.

Lord, please remember my friends, everyone who has prayed for me, and everyone who has done me good. Do good to them. Give them back all their kindness twice over, rewarding them with blessings, making them holy by your grace, and bringing them to glory. Amen.

May the Lord grant mercy to the household of Onesiphorus, because he has often refreshed me and was unashamed of my chains.
