Hold us up
God, you know we’re surrounded by so many great dangers that, because we’re weak by nature, we can’t always stand upright. Please give us the strength and protection we need to hold us up in every danger and carry us through every temptation. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, He will also provide an escape, so that you can stand up under it.
