Guiding light of eternity

A lit candle on a windowsill at dawn gradually fades into the sunrise itself, as if the small flame becomes one unbroken path of light leading from near to far, night to forever.

God, you brought me from the rest of last night into the joyful light of this, your day. Now bring me from the new light of this, your day, into the guiding light of eternity. Oh, bring me from the new light of this day of yours into the guiding light of eternity. Amen.

The path of the righteous is like the first gleam of dawn, shining brighter and brighter until midday.
