Morning prayer · 12 April

Leave it with you

A small paper boat let go into a stream, open hands just releasing it from the bank as it drifts off on its own toward unseen water, with the words “leave it with you” lettered by hand.

Lord God, in you we live and move and exist. Open our eyes to see that you’re always around us, like a loving father. Draw our hearts to you by the power of your love. Teach us not to worry about anything. And when we’ve done what you’ve given us to do, God who saves us, help us leave how it turns out to your wisdom. Take away all our doubt and distrust. Lift our thoughts up to you in heaven, and help us know that through your Son, who set us free, everything is possible for us. Amen.

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
