Morning prayer · 28 April

Light of your face

A sunflower drawn mid-turn, its face tilted toward a rising sun just cresting the horizon, showing the heart turning toward the light of God's face at the start of the day.

Lord, just as you make morning and evening shout for joy, shine the light of your face on us, and make us glad with signs of your love. Be with us, Lord, and let your kindness follow us today and every day of our lives. Be our guide until death, our comfort in death, and after death our treasure and our happiness forever. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Those who live far away fear Your wonders; You make the dawn and sunset shout for joy.

Psalm 65:8 (BSB)
