Another day added

A tree sapling marked with a small notch at the base for today's date, growing one ring wider than yesterday, showing a day given and a life quietly maturing in grace.

Gracious Father, it’s because of your mercy that another day has been added to our lives. So here we give you our souls and our bodies, for your service, to live a sensible, right and godly life. Merciful God, make us firm and strong in this decision, so that as we grow older, we grow in grace and in knowing our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.

But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.
