Morning prayer · 12 February
Here let it grow

God, you are life, wisdom, truth, goodness and happiness, the eternal and only true good. My God and my Lord, you’re my hope and my heart’s joy. Lord, help me know you rightly, so I can love you, enjoy you and have you more and more. In this life I can’t reach that happiness fully, so let it at least grow in me day by day, until it’s complete at last in the life to come. Here let my knowing of you grow, and there let it be made complete. Here let my love for you grow, and there let it ripen. For this let my soul hunger and my heart thirst and my whole self long, until I enter your joy that never ends. Amen.
Until now you have not asked for anything in My name. Ask and you will receive, so that your joy may be complete.
