Morning prayer · 13 February

Given to you again

A pair of empty hands turning out their own pockets, offering up everything inside, drawn as a simple gesture of giving oneself fully again, with the words “body, soul and spirit” lettered by hand.

Lord of heaven and earth, we’re truly sorry for everything we’ve done wrong. We turn our backs completely on anything that goes against what you want, and we give ourselves fully to doing it. Most merciful Father, accept us as we give ourselves to you again: body, soul and spirit. Help us offer ourselves to you every day more sincerely and more gladly, with purer love and a heart more ready to serve. Keep us always grateful for your great love, so we follow the teaching and example of your Son, Jesus Christ. Make us like him: pure and gentle, peaceful and patient, content and thankful. Keep all the kind promises he has made us. Let it be for us just as he said. Amen.

I considered my ways and turned my steps to Your testimonies.
