Morning prayer · 20 February
Body and spirit

Eternal God, you made all things for us, and us for your glory. Make me holy, body and soul: my thoughts and plans, my words and actions. Whatever I think or say or do, let me aim it at the glory of your name, and by your blessing let it do good in your work, as far as it can. Don’t let pride or selfishness, greed or revenge, mixed motives or ugly aims, small goals or low imaginings spoil my spirit or stain any of my words and actions. Let my body serve my spirit, and let both body and spirit serve Jesus, so that doing everything for your glory here, I may share your glory in the life to come. Amen.
So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all to the glory of God.
