Morning prayer · 26 February

Teach me to seek you

A single open window with morning light pouring in, but the room inside stays mostly empty paper, as if searching for the source of the light itself.

Lord, if you’re not here, where will I look for you? And if you’re everywhere, why don’t I see you here? You live in light no one can reach. Where is that light? How can I get close to it? Lord, please teach me to look for you, and show yourself to me as I look. I can’t look for you unless you teach me, or find you unless you show yourself to me. Let me look for you by wanting you, and want you as I look. Let me find you by loving you, and love you as I find you. Amen.

You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.
