Wipe away the stains

A stained cloth being rinsed in a basin, with clear water pouring in from above and the stains visibly fading out, just the moment of being washed clean.

Lord, please give us true sorrow for our sins, the kind that turns us around, so that through the blood of Jesus Christ, who saves us, the stains of all our wrongs are wiped away. Forgive us, Lord. Forgive us our sins, because your mercy has no end, and for the sake of Jesus Christ, who saves us. Amen.

“Come now, let us reason together,” says the LORD. “Though your sins are like scarlet, they will be as white as snow; though they are as red as crimson, they will become like wool.
