Morning prayer · 1 March

My only day

A single compass with its needle swinging toward a tiny sun drawn where north should be, showing the heart seeking its one true direction through every kind of weather, with the words “you're my only day” lettered by hand.

Lord, I’m looking for you all over again. Once more I ask you: lead me in your way, even if it goes against what I want. Don’t let me feel you’re a stranger at any hour, or pull back from you as if you were some power I don’t know. Through doubt and through faith, through joy and through deep dismay, through sunshine, wind or snow, through fog or rain, draw me to you. You’re my only day. Amen.

Show me Your ways, O LORD; teach me Your paths.

Psalm 25:4 (BSB)
