Morning prayer · 3 February

Hidden places of the heart

A small house drawn in cross-section at dawn, with a single shuttered window swinging open and sunlight reaching into one dim back room.

Lord, look kindly on us as we bring you our morning prayers. Let your healing goodness shine into the hidden places of our hearts, so no dark desires can take hold of us, now that the light of your kindness from heaven has made us new. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

In the morning, O LORD, You hear my voice; at daybreak I lay my plea before You and wait in expectation.

Psalm 5:3 (BSB)
