Morning prayer · 15 January

Hold us tight

A small bird gripping tight to a thick branch in a gust of wind, anchored and unshaken, with the words “hold us tight” lettered by hand.

Hold us tight, Lord of heaven’s armies, so we don’t fall away from you. Give us thankful hearts that do what you say, so we grow every day in love for you, in knowing you, and in awe of you. Increase our faith and help our unbelief. Provide for us and meet all our needs with a Father’s care, as you think best, so we can live a life that pleases you, brings you praise and sets a good example for your people. And after this life, let us reign with you forever. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Immediately the boy’s father cried out, “I do believe; help my unbelief!”
