Truthful in word

A simple scale sits with one dish holding a crooked, tangled line (a lie) and the other holding a single straight arrow, the straight arrow's side resting firmly on the ground while the crooked side floats up, weightless.

Almighty God, you’ve sent us the Spirit of truth to lead us into all truth. Rule our lives by your power, so we’re truthful in what we say, do and think. Merciful Jesus, keep us under your kind protection, so no fear or hope ever makes us false in what we do or say. Drive out of us anything that loves a lie or makes one, and bring us all into the perfect freedom of your truth. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Therefore each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to his neighbor, for we are all members of one another.
