Strength of all who trust

A small wooden puppet stands upright only because fine threads run from its limbs up out of the frame, legs mid-step as if walking on its own strength that isn't its own.

God, you’re the strength of everyone who trusts in you. In your mercy, accept our prayers. We’re weak and only human, and we can’t do anything good without you. So please give us the help of your grace, so that as we keep your commands we may please you, both in what we want and in what we do. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

I am the vine and you are the branches. The one who remains in Me, and I in him, will bear much fruit. For apart from Me you can do nothing.

John 15:5 (BSB)
