An unconquered heart

A small sturdy anchor sitting steady on the sea floor while rough waves churn above it, showing a heart that holds firm no matter the storm, with the words “an unconquered heart” lettered by hand.

Almighty and merciful God, please let me long for, wisely look for, and fully do everything that pleases you. Arrange my life in this world for the glory of your name. Whatever you ask of me, give me the knowledge, the desire and the ability to do it as I should. May my path to you be safe, straight and whole to the end. Lord, give me a steady heart that no unworthy love can drag down. Give me an unconquered heart that no trouble can wear out. Give me an honest heart that no unworthy aim can lead aside. Give me understanding to know you, effort to seek you, wisdom to find you, and a faithfulness that will hold you close at last. Amen.

so that you may walk in a manner worthy of the Lord and may please Him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God,
