Your embroidered robes

A single snowflake rendered in fine lace-like detail, drawn as though it is actually the embroidered hem of a vast robe trailing off the edge of the paper, with the words “half hiding your own endless beauty” lettered by hand.

Lord, when I look at the beauty and greatness of your world, at the starry sky or the drifting clouds, at the green of your grass or the white of your snow, I worship you! When I think of the delicate beauty of every little leaf, and the endless care you took to make it, and how fine every tiny snowflake is, I feel I’m looking at the embroidered robes you wear, half showing and half hiding your own endless beauty. My soul is full of wonder and worship. If earth is this wonderful, what must heaven be like! If just the hem of your robe is this lovely, how lovely must you be when you show yourself fully!

Bless the LORD, O my soul! O LORD my God, You are very great; You are clothed with splendor and majesty.
