Bring it to life

A plain wooden coat hanger holds up a set of old, flat, empty clothes draped lifeless on a chair, while a bright new set of clothes is shown being pulled on over them, sleeves filling with movement and life.

Today, help your people to put on Christ, like clothes. Let us live as people who have come back from the dead, because he is the Spirit who gives life; and let us feel that he is. Is any part of us still dead? Lord, bring it to life. Let the life that has taken hold of our hearts take hold of our minds too. Let our brains be busy with holy thoughts. Let our whole being respond to the life of Christ, and let us live a brand new life. Amen.

We were therefore buried with Him through baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may walk in newness of life.
