Never new, never old

An old moon and a new moon drawn side by side as the same circle, showing the paradox of never old and never new, yet always renewing, with the words “never new, never old” lettered by hand.

So what are you, my God? What else but the Lord God? Who is Lord except the Lord? Who is God except our God? You are the highest and the best, the most powerful, all-powerful. You’re full of mercy, yet completely fair. You’re the most hidden, yet the most present. You’re the most beautiful, yet the strongest. You’re steady, yet beyond understanding. You never change, yet you change everything. You’re never new and never old, yet you make all things new, and you wear down the proud without their even knowing it. You’re always working, yet always at rest. You keep gathering, yet you lack nothing. You hold up, fill and cover everything. You create, feed and grow everything. You keep seeking, though you already have everything. Amen.

Do you not know? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary; His understanding is beyond searching out.
