Morning prayer · 30 June

Hold your hand

Two small hands clasped firmly together in the middle of the paper, one slightly larger steadying the other, with nothing else around them, with the words “hold your hand with all my heart” lettered by hand.

Lord, hear my prayer. Don’t let my soul give up under your correction, and don’t let me grow tired of telling you about all your mercies, by which you pulled me out of all my worst ways, so that you’d become a delight to me above all the attractions I once chased. Help me love you completely, and hold your hand with all my heart, so that you rescue me from every temptation, right to the end. Lord, my King and my God, let whatever useful thing I’ve learned be used to serve you, whatever I speak, write, read or count. Amen.

My son, do not reject the discipline of the LORD, and do not loathe His rebuke;
