Morning prayer · 6 June

Stand up to help us

A tiny wobbling figure stands on a rock in choppy water, while a large unseen hand reaches down from outside the frame to grip it steady under the arm.

Lord, strength and wisdom belong to you. Please use your strength, for your own sake and for ours, and stand up to help us. We’re easily fooled and weak, fragile and here for only a short time, unsteady and afraid, unless you put the power of your Holy Spirit inside us. Amen, Lord. Amen.

Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be afraid, for I am your God. I will strengthen you; I will surely help you; I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.

Isaiah 41:10 (BSB)
