Morning prayer · 5 June

Come to my side

An empty bird's nest on a branch with a second bird landing to tuck itself in right beside the first, wing settling alongside wing as if coming to sit close.

Lord, thank you for the Holy Spirit, the Comforter, the one who comes alongside us. Holy Spirit, be that for me. I don’t know enough and I’m foolish; I call you to my side to be my wisdom. I’m sad; be my comfort. I’m weak; be my strength. Most of all, I need to know Jesus and what he’s waiting to do for me. Take what belongs to Christ and show it to me. Help me where I’m weak. Teach me how to pray. And may I always know deep in my heart that I really am a child of God. Amen.

He will glorify Me by taking from what is Mine and disclosing it to you.
