Morning prayer · 7 March

Every fresh sign

A small watering can tipping to fill a row of tiny cupped flower pots, each one already overflowing but still reaching up for more.

Lord God, please accept our humble thanks for the great kindness you’ve shown us. We admit we don’t deserve the least of all your kindness. Even so, please let every new sign of your goodness make us love you more, and help us use our strength and all your gifts to do what you want, more fully, from now on. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

I am unworthy of all the kindness and faithfulness You have shown Your servant. Indeed, with only my staff I came across the Jordan, but now I have become two camps.

Genesis 32:10 (BSB)
