Your hand to lead me

A small wooden marionette's own hand reaches up to rest gently on a larger unseen hand's open palm drawn at the top edge of the frame, the strings between them loose and slack, showing trust rather than control.

My God, thank you with all my heart for all your goodness to my body and my soul. I need your guidance and direction in all I do. Let your wisdom advise me, your hand lead me, and your arm hold me up. I put myself into your hands. Breathe holy, heavenly longings into my soul. Shape me into your likeness. Make me like Jesus. Help me, at least in some small way, to live here on earth as he lived, and to act in everything as he would have acted. Amen.

even there Your hand will guide me; Your right hand will hold me fast.

Psalm 139:10 (BSB)
