The things of heaven

A child's soap bubble drifts upward past heavy stacked coins and jewelry on a shelf below, fragile and shining, headed toward an open window of pure light.

Lord, help us not to set our minds on earthly things, but to love the things of heaven. And even now, while we live among things that are passing away, help us hold tight to the things that will last. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.
