Walking through the dark

A small night moth flies low along a single thread of lamplight laid across the ground like a path, following it out of the dark toward a brightening window.

Lord, protect us as we come to you asking. Hold us up in our weakness, and wash away the stains this world leaves on us. And while we walk through the darkness of this life that doesn’t last, keep bringing us to life by your light. In your mercy, rescue us from every evil, and help us reach the highest good. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin.
