Morning prayer · 15 October

Call to our dry bones

A scattering of dry bones on bare ground with one small green shoot pushing up between them, called back to life.

God, there’s evil in us: help us see it and put it right. There’s good in us: help us be better. Look on us, your servants, with patient eyes, the way you send sun and rain. Look down and call to our dry bones. Bring them to life and wake them up. Make in us again a heart that wants to serve and a spirit of peace. Renew our sense of joy. Amen.

Restore to me the joy of Your salvation, and sustain me with a willing spirit.

Psalm 51:12 (BSB)
