Whatever today brings

A small cart loaded with mismatched heavy stones is pulled uphill by a tiny figure, but one stone near the top has quietly turned to bread, showing burdens becoming provision along the way.

Lord, use all our losses, our burdens, our hard times and our disappointments for our good. Give us grace to accept your holy will in them. Let us find that even our troubles are good for us, so that we can share in your holiness. Prepare us for everything that will happen today, because we don’t know what a day may bring. Help us to stand firm in all that you want. Help us to say no to ourselves, to take up our cross every day, and to follow Jesus Christ. Amen.
