Peacemakers are your children

Two birds that look like natural rivals (a cat and a bird, or a hawk and a dove) perched calmly together on the same branch, sharing one patch of sunlight, showing peace made between opposites.

God, you are peace that lasts forever. The reward you love to give is the gift of peace, and you’ve taught us that peacemakers are your children. Pour your sweet peace into our souls, so that everything that fights against it disappears completely, and all that makes for peace is sweet to us forever. Amen.

Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God.
