Morning prayer · 16 September

Your holy angel with me

A small sleeping child in bed with one large soft wing curled protectively over the blanket, the rest of the room plain and dark.

My Father in heaven, thank you, through Jesus Christ your dear Son, for keeping me safe from all harm and danger through the night. Please keep me today, too, from sin and every evil, so that all I do and my whole life please you. I put myself into your hands, my body and soul and everything I have. Let your holy angel be with me, so the evil enemy has no power over me. Amen.

For He will command His angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways.
