Rekindle our love

A small campfire that has burned down to a few dull embers, with a single hand reaching in from the frame edge to blow gently on it, one fresh flame just catching.

God, you’re the highest good of our souls, and you ask for the hearts of all your children. Free us from all laziness in your work and all coldness in your cause. As we look to you, light our love again, and as we wait on you, renew our strength. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Consider Him who endured such hostility from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.

Hebrews 12:3 (BSB)
