Morning prayer · 5 September

None else beside you

A single compass with only one needle, pointing steadily at one fixed star in an otherwise empty sky, no other stars drawn.

Lord, I lift up my hands to your commands, which I love. Open my eyes so I can see, turn my heart so I want to, and order my steps so I follow the way of your commands. Lord God, be my God, and let there be no other besides you: no one else, nothing else, with you. Amen.

Open my eyes that I may see wondrous things from Your law.

Psalm 119:18 (BSB)
