Morning prayer · 9 September

All I am and have

A small figure sets down a full basket at the doorstep of a large house at dawn, offering everything they carry before stepping inside.

God, for your great goodness, more than words can say, for keeping me safe through the night, and for all your other gifts and blessings, I give you my soul and body, all I am and all I have, as an offering to you and your service. I humbly ask you to forgive all my sins, to protect me from all evil, and to lead me into all good. And let my place be among the people you have rescued, when all your people are gathered together in your kingdom of grace and glory. Amen.

Therefore I urge you, brothers, on account of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God, which is your spiritual service of worship.
