Hear, forgive, do

A small chalkboard slate being wiped clean with one eraser stroke, the dust falling away to reveal blank space beneath.

Lord, hear. Lord, forgive. Lord, act. Hear what I don’t say. Forgive what I say wrongly. Do what I leave undone. Then, not because of my words or my actions, but because of your mercy and truth, let everything turn out for your glory and the good of your kingdom. Amen.

O Lord, listen! O Lord, forgive! O Lord, hear and act! For Your sake, O my God, do not delay, because Your city and Your people bear Your name.”

Daniel 9:19 (BSB)
