Glory in the highest

A small cup overflowing on a table, catching the first ray of sunrise, with the overflow pooling into a wider pool of light below, with the words “glory to god in the highest” lettered by hand.

Glory to God in the highest: the maker and Lord of heaven and earth, who keeps all things going, the Father of mercies, who loved people so much that he sent his only Son into the world, to rescue us from sin and misery and to win everlasting life for us. Gracious God, accept our praise and our thanks for your endless mercy to us. And teach us, Lord, to love you more and serve you better. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

“Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom His favor rests!”

Luke 2:14 (BSB)
