Morning prayer · 19 January
Lord, I’m coming

Lord, every moment belongs to you, and your will is what heals us. When we turn to you, we find you never turned away. Even the look we turn toward you is your own work; it’s what you’re busy with all day long. That look is what you care about, not whether we were ready first. How could I ever be more ready to do what I must than right now? Can I learn by staying away? Lord, I’m coming. Help me. Amen.
So he got up and went to his father. But while he was still in the distance, his father saw him and was filled with compassion. He ran to his son, embraced him, and kissed him.
