Morning prayer · 20 January
Raised from our beds

Lord God who saves us, thank you. You do everything for the good of our lives, so that we can always keep our eyes on you, who save our souls and do us good. You refreshed us through the night, raised us from our beds and brought us to worship your glorious name. So, Lord, please give us your help and power to be worthy to sing your praise with understanding, and to pray to you without stopping, working out our salvation with awe and trembling, with the help of your Christ. Amen.
But I will sing of Your strength and proclaim Your loving devotion in the morning. For You are my fortress, my refuge in times of trouble.
