Shelter me in your shade

A small bird sheltering fully under the wide spread of a parent bird's wing, soft midday shade falling over it, with the words “shelter me in your shade” lettered by hand.

God, guide me with your wisdom. God, correct me with your justice. God, help me with your mercy. God, protect me with your strength. God, fill me with your fullness. God, shelter me in your shade. God, fill me with your grace, for the sake of your Son, the Chosen One: Jesus Christ, born of David’s family, who came to visit the Temple, the Lamb offered up in the garden, who died for me. Amen.

I will instruct you and teach you the way you should go; I will give you counsel and watch over you.

Psalm 32:8 (BSB)
