Morning prayer · 14 July

Near and dear

A big round table set with many different mismatched teacups, each one filled and steaming, as if everyone dear has been given their own cup.

God, we come before your throne of grace and remember everyone you’ve given us to be close and dear to us, and everyone we especially ought to pray for. Please remember them all for good, and give them what they want and need, as far as it’s good for them. We also bring you anyone who has wronged us, in words or in actions. Please forgive them, and forgive all of us our sins, and bring us to your kingdom in heaven. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

As for me, far be it from me that I should sin against the LORD by ceasing to pray for you. And I will continue to teach you the good and right way.

1 Samuel 12:23 (BSB)
