Morning prayer · 5 July
Lord, wake me up

I think my own thoughts and imagine I’m thinking about you. Lord, wake me up. Quickly, raise me from the dead. Please let me live, really alive and free. Then my soul will burst out in thanks like a song, aware at last of what you want it to be. That will be when your life is light in me, and when my life is an answer and an amen to yours.
So it is said: “Wake up, O sleeper, rise up from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.”
