Pray without fear

A small window left open with morning light pouring in and a curtain lifting freely, showing a heart unlatched and unafraid to let something in, with the words “pray without fear” lettered by hand.

Lord our God, great, everlasting and wonderful in glory, you keep your promises to everyone who loves you with their whole heart. You’re the life of all, the help of those who run to you, and the hope of those who cry out to you. Wash us clean from our sins, hidden and open, and from every thought that displeases your goodness. Clean our bodies and souls, our hearts and consciences, so that with a pure heart and a clear soul, with full love and calm hope, we can dare to pray to you confidently and without fear. Amen.

Who can discern his own errors? Cleanse me from my hidden faults.

Psalm 19:12 (BSB)
