Ready to do good

Lord, we ask for your grace and protection for this day. Help us be self-controlled in everything and hardworking in whatever we’re each called to do. Give us patience in our troubles. Help us be fair and honest in all our dealings, quiet and peaceful, full of compassion, and ready to do good to everyone, as far as we’re able and have the chance. Guide us in all our ways. Protect us from every danger and hardship, and kindly take us, and everyone dear to us, into your fatherly care. We humbly ask for these things, and whatever else you see we need, through your Son Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to the family of faith.
