Full to overflowing

A single small cup on a plain table, filled so full that the overflow has pooled into a second cup beside it, both brimming equally from the same unseen source.

My great God, you’ve always been enough for yourself. The Father has been enough for the Son, and the Son for the Father. So aren’t you enough for me, a poor creature? You’re so great, and I’m so small! In Father and Son I have twice what I need. With you, we’re full to overflowing. Mighty God, strengthen me with your strength. Comfort me with your everlasting peace. Calm me with the beauty of your face. Light me with your own brightness that no one made. Make me pure with the fragrance of your holiness. Bathe me in yourself, and let me drink, as far as I may, from the rivers of grace that flow from the Father and the Son, the grace of your eternal Love. Amen.

Philip said to Him, “Lord, show us the Father, and that will be enough for us.”
