Be the well

A tiny house drawn inside the outline of a single open book, with a small fire glowing in its window, showing home and book and hearth all held as one place, with the words “be my home, my fire” lettered by hand.

God, be the well I lie beside and rest. Be my tree of life, my garden. Be my home, my fire, my blessed room, my book of wisdom, loved by all the best. Oh, be my friend, found newer every day, as the endless days and nights go round. But no, you are more than all of this: you are my God, in whom all loves are held together. Amen.

He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.

Psalm 91:1 (BSB)
